Plot Summary:A bank heist yields $210,000. Soon, sultry Lona McLane, girlfriend of one of the robbers, meets Paul Sheridan and has a torrid affair. When she finds out Paul's a cop, to save herself she sets out to corrupt him. He's a pushover. But it won't be easy for Paul to get his hands on the money when he's part of a complex, peeping-tom stakeout. Soon, he's in much deeper than he'd planned, amid atmospheric night scenes.

By far one of the top film noirs I have ever watched, sexual tensions rapport with narrative rhythm beautifully. Cultivating voyeurism to the most profound level before "Rear Window" by dissecting the male desire toward women via the bisection of being a senior male (father-daughter) and a fellow male (man-woman).A seriously underestimated noir.
女主的眼神绝美，男主逻辑思维太强了，但再精心策划的犯罪过程也往往是百密一疏。

男主一出现脑海中的《双重赔偿》就挥之不去，虽然制作稀松平常，但高潮段落还是挺扣人心弦的。没那么肉感的诺瓦克确实美丽，一反蛇蝎女郎的配置，男性作为主导的警察一步步作茧自缚。在窥视这一意象上还可以再深入些。豆瓣的简介活色生香。
