98年宋飞正传系列完结，宋飞进入了无所事事的空窗期，经纪人一边带着他巡演重新找回现场单口的感觉，一边物色单口新人。影片就是围绕一老一新两位单口演员展开的，他们的野心或许不一样，宋飞已经功成名就出入都是私人飞机与豪车，而新人则是苦哈哈的日子刚看到曙光。不过总的来说，焦虑是相似的
所谓天赋人，直觉与工时的坚韧相辅相成。单口演员串一场新表演，录下来回家观察、手术… 单口喜剧的微浮，好段子就是你听完一周想四次。宋飞的节奏感（不是语感）好，这也是形成真正的个人风格最重要的一点。OA这样的蠢货太多了，观众们没人付得起对这样的表演者讶异、反感，目光早就移开了。
