毫无疑问这是伊文思最好的纪录片之一，首先是极其的真实，有很多枪林弹雨的实录镜头，还有越南人们全民皆兵的备战状态也没有时间去摆拍什么，那段活捉美军飞行员的影像弥足珍贵，之后导演拍摄的越南儿童被炸死陈尸一排的场景直戳人的观众的心灵，接下来就是飞行员被越南军民批斗，导演的态度是鲜明的
