女歌手盛蕾（喬喬）在北京後海的某間夜店演出後，忽然昏厥倒地。原來，疼愛她的姥姥（歸亞蕾）最近過世，傷心欲絕的盛蕾便患了恐慌症，經常以藥物麻痺自己。

Plot Summary:Two young women, though leading very different lives, discover they are quite similar in their afflictions. As the friendship develops between Sheng Lei, an aspiring singer in modern Beijing, and Dan Qing, a writer from Taiwan, stories of Sheng Lei's unsettling childhood begin to unfold. As Sheng Lei reflects upon her past, she realizes the importance of reconnecting with her paralyzed grandfather. Hoping to put their troubles behind them, the three set out on a journey to see the Ghost Horse, a vision that could deliver a much desired peace.
