Plot Summary:The first part tells the story of Moses leading the Jews from Egypt to the Promised Land, his receipt of the tablets and the worship of the golden calf. The second part shows the efficacy of the commandments in modern life through a story set in San Francisco. Two brothers, rivals for the love of Mary, also come into conflict when John discovers Dan used shoddy materials to construct a cathedral.

prologue部分精彩绝伦，story部分直接拳头硬了……故事完全没说服力就算了，还加了个《蒙骗》式的异域妖妇？？？在把电影当教化媒介的事上CB比格里菲斯还是差点意思，对比《党同伐异》更说明了剪辑的重要性= =
虽然是默片配字幕，并且是后期修复配色的老电影。但场面宏大，群演壮观。海水分开一幕很是震撼。那个年代能拍出这种电影真的是真心叹服。五星杠杠滴。
不管在任何情况下保持正直。
电影史课。我觉得我以后肯定不可能再找出来自己看了……
非常好莱坞，平庸俗套。
当初派拉蒙做民意调查，很多人希望圣经故事可以作为影片题材，塞西尔经过思考拍摄了《十诫》长片，这部是默片版本，取材圣经旧约和出埃及记，第一部真正意义上的圣经故事改编的长片，第29届奥斯卡最佳影片提名。宏达的场景和特效在1923年可谓是一种巨大的挑战，那种特效和场景看得我匪夷所思。真正的epic。
