Plot Summary:It's 1933, and eight young women are friends and members of the upper-class group at a private girl's school, about to graduate and start their own lives. The film documents the years between their graduation and the beginning of the World War in Europe, and shows, in a serialized style, their romances and marriages, their searches for careers or meaning in their lives, their highs and their lows.

欲望都市复古版—剧本、服装、表演都有回到乔治.库克电影的感觉，不过加入了许多更接近60年代的直白、辛辣的元素，以此带来社会变革(群戏应接不暇)。毕业典礼开场白其实挺扣题(只不过变了味)，面对经济大萧条，美国女性在各个方面都贡献自己的力量，各自扮演着不同的角色，只为最大程度实现个人价值。
