Plot Summary:Mystery writer Cornelia Van Gorder has rented a country house called "The Oaks", which not long ago had been the scene of some murders committed by a strange and violent criminal known as "The Bat". Meanwhile, the house's owner, bank president John Fleming, has recently embezzled one million dollars in securities, and has hidden the proceeds in the house, but he is killed before he can retrieve the money. Thus the lonely country house soon becomes the site of many mysterious and dangerous activities.

三星半。打光很棒，光影处理艺术性强，蝙蝠杀手的黑影有一定的惊悚效果。不断制造迷惑观者的烟幕弹，医生、司机、探长PK，群戏调度佳。普莱斯以自带的狡诈气质，成为最突出的犯罪“误解”载体。
