Plot Summary:A woman struggles to bring up three children after the death of her husband. Her eldest son, on whom she has placed great hope, shames her with his dishonesty. Her daughter, the middle child, is vain. The youngest child, however, makes her proud. Eventually, the two of them are left alone when disaster befalls the other children.
