Plot Summary:In a small German village, a mysterious flute-playing piper offers to rid the village of the rodent infestation with his magical flute which he does by luring all of the rats away. But when the stingy mayor and his officials refuse to pay him the agreed amount for his services (not realizing that he could actually make it happen), the piper gets revenge against the entire village by \"playing a different tune\".
