Plot Summary:In this third version of the classic Stevenson novel filmed in 1920, Jekyll, dreaming he develops a potion which separates the good and evil sides of his personality, decides upon awaking that the consequences of his experiments are too dangerous and abandons them.
3.5星，目前似乎只有一个15分钟左右的重剪版，收录在Barrymore版《化身博士》的蓝光碟里。就重剪版而言，“恶”只体现在偷钱包和放火，甚是单薄，不过完整版若是有性欲的情节的话，对“恶”的体现还算全面。此外结尾很有看头：一是Hyde不用解药自发变回了Jekyll，是众多版本中头一回；二是Hyde被警察捉拿归案了，不知道完整版是就此结尾还是会有“审判”之类的戏份。总体而言创新颇多，可惜同年其他两部不是名导就是名角，而且还都是长片= =【评分针对重剪版】
